Structural stability and decay estimate for marine riser equations

چکیده
We study the problem of the continuous dependence of weak and strong solutions to the initial boundary value problem for multidimensional marine riser equations on the parameters of the equation. The continuous dependence of solutions on the coefficient of the effective tension, on the coefficient of the nonlinear drag, and on the coefficients of the Coriolis force is established. © 2011 Elsevier Ltd. Hull Performance Assessment and Comparison of Ship-Shaped and Cylindrical FPSOs With Regards To: Stability, Sea-Keeping, Mooring and Riser Loads In Shallow Water
Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading “FPSO” have become a popular choice since 1980s for marginal and fast-track developments where subsea pipeline is not an economic or feasible solution for export. Field development usually starts with a concept selection procedure which is constituted from a sequence of multi-disciplinary decision making tasks. As limited data is availabl...
متن کاملاثر حضور عامل خورنده بر رشد ترک خستگی در رایزرهای آب عمیق
The corrosion fracture life of marine riser is investigated. Riser will be modeled as a long beam and the wave and current forces is estimated by short wave theory and modified Morison’s equation. Dynamic equilibrium equations of riser will be obtained on based of Euler theory. After bending stress calculation along the riser that includes effect of riser weight and platform motion, loading his...
متن کاملFEM Updating of Ship Structure by The Sensitivity Equation of Transmissibility Function
This study presents a novel sensitivity-based finite element model updating approach to estimate structural parameters using output-only data. A quasi-exact sensitivity relation based on transmissibility data is introduced. Partially measured structural responses are included in mathematical formulations to address incomplete measurement problems and improve the accuracy of the sensitivity rela...
متن کاملMonitoring VIV fatigue damage on marine risers
Long flexible cylinders (e.g. risers, tendons, mooring lines) exposed to the marine environment encounter ocean currents leading to vortex-induced vibration (VIV). These oscillations, often driven at high frequencies over extended periods of time may result in structural failure of the member due to fatigue damage accumulation. Recent developments in instrumentation and installation of data acq...
متن کاملStability of two classes of improved backward Euler methods for stochastic delay differential equations of neutral type
This paper examines stability analysis of two classes of improved backward Euler methods, namely split-step $(theta, lambda)$-backward Euler (SSBE) and semi-implicit $(theta,lambda)$-Euler (SIE) methods, for nonlinear neutral stochastic delay differential equations (NSDDEs). It is proved that the SSBE method with $theta, lambdain(0,1]$ can recover the exponential mean-square stability with some...
